- Eastern Michigan at Wyoming: Both teams are coming off of a loss, but Wyoming is a mess in losing to an FCS program. Expect the Cowboys to play much better and make this MWC versus MAC game one to watch.
- Marshall at Ohio: Both teams are coming off of wins and Marshall wants to prove to the world that they are just as good as least season. Ohio showed an improved offense but have their hands full in this CUSA versus MAC matchup.
- North Texas at SMU: Two teams that are separated by only 40 miles, North Texas and SMU are both looking to stay out of their conference cellars this season. UNT had an odd first week bye while SMU looked solid for a half before getting their doors blown off by the force that is the Baylor offense. These two teams match up fairly well and should make for a good game between AAC and CUSA programs.
- Georgia State at New Mexico State: Both teams are coming off of losses but the Panthers' loss to Charlotte is much worse than a NMSU loss to Florida. Expect Georgia State to play much better, but the Aggies have the better overall team. This is the first Sun Belt game of the year for both teams.
- Tulsa at New Mexico: The high flying passing attack of Tulsa versus the ground and pound of New Mexico should make for an interesting dynamic. I wish I had much of an idea how this game will turn out, but all I can see is there will be lots of points scored. Expect this AAC versus MWC game to be a fun one to watch.
- San José State at Air Force: The Spartans were a big surprise in week one with the easy they dispatched of New Hampshire. SJSU looks more like the bowl teams of a few years ago than the team that has struggled so much lately. They will get their first test versus a very good Air Force team that won ten games last fall. Expect this MWC conference matchup to give us a clearer idea of how the conference race will go.
- Army at Connecticut: On paper, this is the ugliest matchup one could ask for, but I am interested to see how UConn can stop the Army rushing attack. Both teams faced FCS competition with Army falling and UConn holding on for a very close win. Expect this independent versus AAC matchup to go down to the wire.

Top G5 Versus G5 Games For Week Two
We are finally getting into a little more G5-G5 play with seven G5 games that I expect to be good matchups. I am oddly interested in the Army-UConn game, make because it will be close but ugly. **Some G5-G5 games may be listed in other categories. i.e. Games of the Week.**
