- Kansas State at UTSA: The Roadrunners are coming off of a very good performance in a week one loss to Arizona. This upset would make quite a bit of sense.
- Bowling Green at Maryland: The Falcons hung with Tennessee for three quarters before running out of gas. If their defense plays even remotely decent, Bowling Green has a good chance to win this game.
- Massachusetts at Colorado: The Minutemen are a team that can sneak up on people this fall. They have one of the best QB-WR connections in the FBS and can put up lots of points. Colorado will have their hands full in this game.
- UTEP at Texas Tech: The Miners ran into a buzzsaw in week one versus Arkansas but have a much more winnable game this week. Texas Tech gave up 45 points to Sam Houston State. They will struggle to slow down the UTEP running game.
- Minnesota at Colorado State: Minnesota has to be feeling good after coming close against TCU, but have a tough trip to Fort Collins this week. Expect Rashad Higgins to have a big game in the upset win.
- Toledo at Arkansas: Toledo is one of the few G5 teams that can score as quickly as Arkansas. The reason the Rockets will not pull the upset is the lack of their all-conference running back serving a suspension.
- San Diego State at California: The Aztecs are very stout on defense with lots of returning starters. This is their first challenge, a Cal offense that love to put up big numbers. If SDSU can hold Cal to reasonable numbers, the Aztecs win going away.
- Missouri at Arkansas State: The Red Wolves have marked this game on the calendar for a very long time and should be ready to get the taste of a week one blowout loss to USC out of their mouths. Missouri has a habit of playing up and down to their competition. This upset could easily happen.
- Memphis at Kansas: It would be an upset if Kansas beat Memphis in this matchup. The Tigers are better all over the field and should be able to have their way versus the Jayhawks.
- Rice at Texas: Rice was dominant versus FCS competition in week one and Texas could not have looked much worse if they tried versus Notre Dame. If Texas plays as poorly as they did in week one, Rice will pull the upset win. This is a make or break game for Charlie Strong and company.
- Florida International at Indiana: The Golden Panthers finally put things together in beating Central Florida in week one. Indiana gave up over 40 points to Southern Illinois. If FIU is able to build upon the performance of week one, they are in great shape for a win.
- Central Florida at Stanford: The Knights looked bad versus FIU but Stanford looked even worse versus Northwestern. This game could come down to which team craps the bed more often as neither team looks to be anywhere near the preseason hype.
- Pittsburgh at Akron: The Zips pulled the road upset last season and played well for a while versus Oklahoma before a tired defense ran out of gas. If Akron can do anything on offense, they have a chance to win this game.

13 G5 over P5 Upset Opportunities
I have 13 games this week in which a G5 and P5 team square off with the legitimate shot of an upset. Do you agree or do you think I am way off base in seeing these games as upset opportunities? **Note: I am not picking all of the games as upsets, I only see them as distinct possibilities.**
