Overall Breakdown: TCU had a season for the ages in 2010 with a 13-0 record, win in the Rose Bowl over the Big 10 champs, and an almost video game like +29.4 points differential per game. This team had players all over the field that were just as good as anyone in the nation and a quarterback that had a complete grasp of the offense allowing them to legitimately have a gripe about getting a national title shot. With the loss of quarterback Andy Dalton to graduation, it will be imperative for someone to step up in time for this difficult season opening matchup. Baylor was not a bad team in 2010 but tended to drift towards the middle of the pack as the season went along. The Bears look to avenge a brutal beating they took from TCU in 2010 losing 45-10 and just getting completely outclassed on the field. With the talent on the field, TCU is the better team and the favorite but with home field advantage, a returning starting quarterback, and a new quarterback starting his first game for TCU, Baylor should be able to keep it close and possibly pull out a win to start the season.
