Overall Breakdown: UNLV had a disastrous 2010 season in which they accumulated double digit losses and were largely non competitive for large portions of the season. They played 2011 season opener in 2010 and were even in the game only losing 17-14 at the half before eventually losing 41-21 in the end. Everything fell apart after that game as the Rebels struggled to ever come close to a win expect in their 2 victories. All 11 losses were by 15 or more points leading to their -21.3 points per game differential last season. Wisconsin built on the win versus UNLV in 2010 to win the Big 10 and make it to the Rose Bowl before falling to TCU in a thrilling game in Pasadena, California. The Badgers have most of their biggest weapons returning as well as a QB transfer from NC State that should start this fall and improve upon a passing game that was adequate but not spectacular last season. Expect Wisconsin to put this game away much earlier and not allow the Rebels to gain any early momentum allowing the Badgers to rest their starters and begin to prepare mentally for a tricky Oregon State and Northern Illinois stretch that could make or break their season in 2011.
