Overall Breakdown: The San Diego State Aztecs have built off of a nice 8-4 2010 season with a 2-0 start in 2011. The Aztecs have been as advertised on the ground behind the running of sophomore running back Ronnie Hillman with over 200 yards on the ground per game this fall. The passing game has not been up to par in 2011 with senior quarterback Ryan Lindley struggling in the air in game 2 versus Army. The Aztecs are averaging +15.5 points per game with the defense giving up 20.5 points per game. Washington State has started the 2011 season with wins over Idaho State and UNLV by a combined score of 123-28. They will be taking a big step up in competition with the trip to San Diego to play the Aztecs. The last meeting was a 45-17 win for the Cougars in 2007. Expect a high scoring affair in which both teams will pile up offensive stats but SDSU will be able to pull away behind the ball control drives featuring the running game. San Diego State 42-34.
