The Zips are coming off of a very disappointing 2012 season that saw them go 1-11 with their only win over FCS foe Morgan State. The Zips lost 4 games in 2012 by fewer than 10 points and seemed to run out of energy in the second half. The Zips have another tough non-conference slate in 2013 with trips to Big East member Central Florida and a trip to Ann Arbor to face Big 10 power Michigan. The Zips have a tough game versus quality Sun Belt foe Louisiana and host perennial FCS power James Madison. In-conference, the Zips face 6 bowl teams from 2012 with all four home games versus 2012 bowl teams. Overall, the Zips face 9 bowl teams from 2012 with only UMass and Miami OH ending 2012 with a losing record.
