The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders scheduled an interesting non-conference slate starting the season on a Thursday night versus FCS foe Western Carolina. The Blue Raiders have their annual matchup with Memphis at home but travel to North Carolina in week two as well as traveling to Provo, Utah for a Friday night game at BYU. If the Blue Raiders can at least be 3-2 (conference game versus FAU mixed in), MTSU could make some waves in conference play. The Blue Raiders only face 1 conference team that played in a bowl game in 2012 with an early October home game versus ECU. 9-4 could be easily obtainable with such a weak conference slate this fall.
