Fresno State Spring Practice Recap

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State football team is through spring football and currently in its post-spring workout period. Here is some news and notes, along with the 2013 summer prospectus, keeping Bulldog fans updated with the Fresno State football team.

Fresno State worked through its 15-allotted spring practice sessions that wrapped up on Saturday, March 23 with the spring game. Following the conclusion of spring football, the coaching staff released the post-spring depth chart that can be found in the 2013 summer prospectus link at the top of the page.

You'll see a lot of "OR's" listed on the depth chart, indicating that position battles were not won during spring camp and the starting spots remain open heading into the fall. (Note: the depth chart only includes players that participated in spring ball, any incoming freshmen or transfers that were a part of the 2013 recruiting class are not listed at this time.)

Another thing you'll notice on the depth chart is Greg Watson's name listed three times on offense. Watson, who was the back-up quarterback in 2012, permanently switched from QB to wide receiver before the Bulldogs' appearance in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl. He did not practice with the quarterbacks in spring football and the back-up competition is expected to ensue during fall camp between Marcus McDade, Myles Carr, Brian Burrell and Zack Greenlee.
