*Only listed on 247 commit list. 247 has San Jose State with 26 commits including 3 early enrollees. Rivals has SJSU with 22 commits and no early enrollees.

According to 247, San Jose State is the 58th ranked recruiting class in the nation and the top class of the Mountain West Conference programs. The Spartans were able to stay with the confines of California with 24 of their 26 commits coming from within state. As things currently stand, SJSU is pushing a top 50 overall recruiting class for this season, an impressive accomplishment for any team in the Mountain West Conference.

The Spartans are coming off of a disappointing 3-9 season that saw them unable to find a suitable replacement for the record setting David Fales last fall. As a result, the addition of JUCO transfer Kenny Potter could make the Spartan quarterback battle one of the most interesting in the nation this fall.
