Cal Poly versus Northern Illinois Preview

Cal Poly at Northern Illinois—Cal Poly is a solid I-AA team with a 1-2 record and losses to San Diego State and Montana with a win over South Dakota State. The Mustangs have put up at least 21 points per game in all three contests with a high of 48 versus South Dakota State. Northern Illinois is reeling after losing 2 straight games including a 45-42 loss to Kansas and a 49-7 demolition versus Wisconsin. The offense has been pretty good with quarterback Chandler Harnish averaging over 200 yards per game in the air. The defense is having a rough start to the season giving up 40 points per game good for 111th in the country. With the conference schedule coming up, the Huskies need to get this victory and move to 2-2. The Huskies are the more talented team and should dominate play but still struggle defensively. Northern Illinois 49-24.
