Overall Breakdown: Colorado has been unlucky starting the season with an 0-2 record falling to Hawaii and losing to California by 3 points. The offense has been good averaging over 400 yards per game and 25 points per game. The rushing game is a major concern as the Buffaloes are only getting 62.5 yards per game on the ground. The defense is the other main concern giving up over 30 points in each of the first two games of the season. Colorado State has started 2-0 for the first time since opening the 2009 season with 3 wins before going on a 9 game losing streak. The Rams are getting solid play from the offense with 385 yards per game and over 20 points per game while giving up only 12 points per game. This is a big rivalry game that could go either way and should be an exciting matchup to watch. Overall, Colorado has the better offense but a much worse defense while Colorado State has struggled to put up big points in either of the first two games, not needing much due to the prolific defense. Colorado 27-24.
