Ohio versus Rutgers Preview

Ohio at Rutgers—Ohio is flying high going into New Jersey for this matchup halfway to bowl eligibility with a 3-0 record. The week 3 win over a Marshall squad that beat Southern Miss was the most impressive with a 34-7 halftime lead and never letting Marshall have a chance in winning 44-7. The Bobcats sport the 12th ranked rushing offense and 67th ranked passing offense putting them right in the top 40 offenses in the country. Ohio is putting up a lot of points with 39.7 per game while allowing a minuscule 11.3 per game. Rutgers is 1-1 after losing a nail biter to North Carolina in the second game of the season 24-22. The Scarlet Knights had the ball with 2:32 to play but could not convert on a 4th down losing the ball and the game in the process. The offense has not put up a ton of yards but has scored a lot of points with an average of 35 points per game good for 41st in the country. The defense is only giving up 12 per game. Ohio can easily pull off this upset and put themselves in a great spot with a 4-0 out of conference record going into MAC play. I think the Bobcats show they are for real with a big win over a Big East foe. Ohio 28-24.
