Kent State, a brief look

Kent State (5-7, 4-4)--After losing 6 of their first 7 games, the Golden Flashes somewhat salvaged their 2011 season with 4 wins in 5 games. Statistically, it makes no sense that Kent State even finished 2 games below .500. Kent State was in the bottom 13 nationally in rushing and passing yards and were also outscored by just over 7 points per game in 2011. The defense kept them in most of the games including a 20-12 loss to ULL and a 9-3 loss to Miami (OH). If the offense can find some stability and performance in 2012, it is quite realistic for the Golden Flashes to compete for a bowl game.
