After a 2012 season that was disastrous to say the least, the Southern Miss Golden Eagles start 2013 with a tough non-conference slate. Southern Miss starts with a home game versus a much improved Texas State team before three straight road games versus very talented teams in Nebraska, Arkansas, and Boise State. The Golden Eagles face 3 conference foes that were bowl eligible in 2012 and a total of 5 bowl eligible teams from 2012.
