Coming off of a 2012 season that started badly but showed promise, the Tulane Green Wave went slightly conservative in their non-conference play. Tulane faces FCS team Jackson State and Sun Belt foe South Alabama at home while traveling to Syracus and Louisiana-Monroe. The Green Wave face three 2012 bowl teams in East Carolina, Tulsa, and Rice giving them a total of 5 bowl teams from 2012 on their schedule.
