The defending Conference USA champs play a very similar non-conference schedule to 2012 with trips to Bowling Green and Oklahoma while playing at home versus Colorado State and Iowa State. The Golden Hurricanes could easily be 3-1 heading into conference play and 3 bowl eligible teams from 2012 in Rice, East Carolina, and Louisiana Tech. Overall, the Golden Hurricanes play 5 bowl teams from 2012 in what is a difficult but manageable schedule.
